The Vault "Surely" and "Let It Snow" are collaborations with Riz, Funny In Italics, and Romeotrai. They’re actually older records from about two years ago, but they fit the ordering of the Room for this project perfectly.
The Canvas "What To Do With Myself" is a typical reubencmg record: just a piano and a vocal. It’s a blank canvas that let me say some real things. When I was writing this, I definitely felt like Earl Sweatshirt, the flows, the subject matter, the whole energy of it.
The Promise I remember writing the lyrics for "I Really Don’t Care" to a beat called "The Promise Land" that Andre 3000 and J. Cole rapped on. I used to play that every night until I had to do my own part. The lyrics sat right on this classic Riz beat, so I gave it a go. It’s already become a fan favorite from the tape.
